What is iowa flag?

The flag of Iowa was adopted on March 29, 1921. It consists of three vertical stripes of blue, white, and red. The blue stripe represents loyalty, justice, and truth. The white stripe represents purity, while the red stripe symbolizes courage. In the center of the flag is an eagle holding a banner with the state motto, "Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain." The flag was designed by Dixie Cornell Gebhardt and is sometimes referred to as the "Hawkeye State Flag" in reference to the state's nickname.
